Another delightful resort on the eastern coast, Rayong is just beginning to gain wider popularity. With a 100 kilometer-long coastline, it boasts several beautiful beaches and scenic waterfalls amid natural surroundings. Rayong is also rich in marine resources and considered a major agriculture and industrial province. Rayong is 180 kilometers from Bangkok and covers a total area of 3,552 square kilometers.
Chanthaburi
Famous for its abundance of tropical fruits and as a center of gems, the eastern province of Chanthaburi is also blessed with rich, verdant forests with scenic waterfalls. The Chanthaburi River flows through the town, which has been the home of ancient communities. Quiet fishing villages and peaceful beaches are not far from town.
Trat
Trat, a small province, at the eastern frontier bordering Cambodia with the Khao Banthat mountain range forming a natural demarcation. Trat is a resort town with over 50 large and small offshore islands, long white sandy beaches and unspoilt coral reefs. It is also a major fruit growing and fishing area.
About 315 kilometers from Bangkok and covering an area of 2,819 square kilomieters, the province is administratively divides in to the districts of Muang, Khao Saming, Laem Ngop, Khling Yai and Bo Rai and the sub-districts of Koh Chang and Koh Kood.
